MAnnotator — Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection
MAnnotator collects no personal data beyond what is necessary for licence verification. It draws transparent overlays on your screen using native Windows APIs. No screen content is captured, stored, or transmitted.
2. Licence Verification
MAnnotator verifies your licence key against the Gumroad API on first activation and periodically thereafter (at most once per 24 hours). The licence key and last-verified timestamp are stored locally on your machine. A 14-day offline grace period applies if Gumroad is unreachable.
3. Third-Party Services
MAnnotator uses Gumroad solely for licence verification. No analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind is included. All annotation processing is local.
4. Permissions
MAnnotator requires permission to display always-on-top windows, register global keyboard shortcuts (for the panic key and tool shortcuts), and make outbound HTTPS requests for licence verification. No microphone, camera, or screen recording access is requested.
